On Tuesday evening Beirut was rocked by two explosions that could be felt as far away as Cyprus. These disastrous explosions came at a time when the Lebanese capital city has already been struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic and economic downturn. As of August 6th, over 135 people have died, 5000 have been injured, and over 300,000 have been left homeless.

To support the Lebanese people, Italian jewelry brand Repossi has partnered with the Lebanese Red Cross donating all proceeds from the sale of their new Berbere Chromatic ring to the relief effort. The brand made a statement outlining the partnership and support saying, “Lebanon is and always has been a very dear country to the Repossi Family. Repossi couldn’t stand still and not provide support in any kind of possible way.”

The red ring features an engraving of the Lebanon cedar tree and is available now for pre-order through the company’s website and will be available mid-September. Via Instagram, the brand announced to its followers, “In response to the tragic event in Beirut, Lebanon, Repossi unveils the new Berbere Chromatic ring. All profits from the sale of this ring will be donated to the Lebanese Red Cross.”
