Formerly the Yoguslav Republic, Croatia boasts one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline that Europe has to offer; it has more than a thousand islands. Its coastal towns and cities have fascinating history and are full of remains from the Roman and Venetian eras. Croatia has become one of the trendiest European countries to visit and weather you’re a backpacker, a family, long-distance cyclist, yachter or spa-hotel surfer the country has great range and quality to offer something for everyone.

There are many things not to miss while you visit this enchanting country. Sunsets in Zadar are an experience you have to live while there. Sunsets are accompanied by the complimentary sound-and-light show of the famous Greeting to the Sun and Sea Organ art installations.

One of the best preserved Roman monuments in Croatia is the Pula Arena which is the sixth largest surviving Roman amphitheater that dates back to the 1st century AD and could seat 26,000 people. Today it is one of the hottest attractions of Croatia and host to many festivals and performances during summer.

One of the most picturesque towns in the Mediterranean is Rovinji and has been described as a scenic wonder for its pristine beauty and indented coastline and forests. It has pastel-colored houses that are clustered together on winding streets, which makes it a great place to walk around. It is also still an active port where visitors can take a boat to the offshore islands.

One of the most popular attractions in Croatia is Hvar, a town set in a picturesque bay with olive groves, fruit orchards, lavender fields. With the Pakleni island chain protecting it to the South, it is a popular port for yachts sailing the Adriatic sea during summer.

The island of Mljet is the perfect place to rlelax. One of Croatia’s largest islands 72% of it’s surface is covered by forests, fields and vineyards with many small villages. The island also has two salt lakes called Veliko and Malo Jezero and in the middle of both lakes there is a small island with a Benedictine monastery.

Korcula is the sixth largest Croatian island and amongst the most beautiful ancient towns on the coast of Croatia for its unique architecture. One of its biggest attractions is the alleged house where Marco Polo was born, the Cathedral of St. Marco that was built in the Gothic-Renaissance style.

The Plitvice Lakes are a bewitching sequence of foaming waterfalls and turquoise lakes surrounded by forest-clad hills. The lakes are considered one of the most beautiful natural destinations in Europe for its nature and beauty significance, where it was turned into a national park in 1949. The area around the lake is home to many animals such as the rare European brown bear, wolf, eagle, owl and lynx as well as bird species.
