Lebanese British sensation Razane Jammal makes her debut as a leading actress in Egyptian and Arab cinema, starring alongside Mohamed Ramadan in the epic historical film BLACK LION, helmed by the acclaimed Moon Knight director Mohamed Diab.
Written by the talented trio Mohamed Diab, Khaled Diab, and Sherine Diab, the highly anticipated BLACK LION boasts a star-studded cast that includes Majed El-Kedwany, Khaled Al-Sawy, Sherif Salama, and Ahmed Abdel Hamid.

Razane received a lot of praise for her role in Marwan Hamed’s star-studded blockbuster movie KIRA & EL GIN alongside heavy-weight actors Karim Abdel-Aziz, Ahmed Ezz, and Hend Sabry, for which she won the Best Actress in a Supporting Role Award at the 49th Film Society Festival.
As for her more recent endeavours, Razane starred in the Shahid original drama AL THAMAN — which featured Bassel Khaiat and had the highest viewership in the Arab world at the time of its release — and made a guest appearance on Menna Shalaby’s Ramadan 2023 drama TAGHYER GAW.

She is also the sole Arab star to have joined the DC comics universe in Netflix’s hit adaptation of THE SANDMAN— one of the top ten most-watched shows on Netflix in 2022.
Before that, Jammal made a name for herself in the international film industry with her diverse roles in French, British, and American projects, three of which have participated at the Cannes Film Festival — Cruel Summer (2012) by Kanye West, UNE HISTOIRE DE FOU (2014) by Robert Guediguian, and Carlos (2010) by Olivier Assayas, which received a Golden Globe in 2011.
