Summer 2021 is in full swing and considering this summer has already been more eventful than last—it is the perfect time to take a new signature scent out for a test run. Smell and memory are linked which is why smell is so powerful and a single note from a flower bed or the salt of the ocean can transport you back to a moment six months or six years ago. Luckily, this summer there are more than a few incredible scents to capture the season. If you are staying close to home or jet setting we have rounded up some of the best scents to celebrate Summer 2021.

Gabrielle Chanel: Essence

Everything inspired by Gabrielle Chanel aka Coco Chanel turns to gold. In this case a golden accented bottle of Essence perfume that is perfect for sunny summer days and late summer nights. A blend of florals including orange blossom, jasmine, Grasse tuberose, and ylang-ylang make this new scent intensely feminine.

Marc Jacobs: Daisy Eau So Intense

If you want to switch up your signature scent and always opt for spicy or floral then Daisy Eau So Intense might be just what you need. Inspired by the glow of a beautiful sunset this fragrance is fruity yet refreshing. With top notes of strawberry, bergamot, and pear; heart notes of jasmine, rosebud, and honey; and base notes of moss, vanilla, and musk this take on the original crafted by Alberto Morillas is an absolute delicacy.

Tom Ford: Soleil Brulant

In a perfect world everyone would be wearing a Tom Ford fragrance but alas if you have to pick just one this summer Soleil Brulant which translates to the burning sun is summer incarnate. Keynotes of orange flower, amber, and black honey accord make this latest Tom Ford Private Blend fragrance stand out from the crowd.

Dior: Happy Hour

Don’t judge a book by its cover but in this case, you can definitely judge a perfume but its name. Dior’s newest fragrance was crafted by master perfumer François Demachy who describes Happy Hour as “the perfume of a lovable woman and has the taste of happiness. I wanted to evoke the carefree age of youthful folly. The scent is sharply sweet like a cranberry. Sparkling, almost insolent, at its fresh floral heart are Jasmine and Ylang Ylang. It’s the perfume of a lovable woman and has the taste of happiness.” This fun and free-spirited fragrance is perfect for happy hour cocktails with girlfriends or a late business lunch.

Gucci: The Alchemist’s Garden 1921

We don’t suggest that you buy this Gucci fragrance for the bottle but it is definitely a show stopper. The new fragrance by the Italian fashion house is serving nostalgia by paying homage to the city of Florence where Guccio Gucci founded the iconic brand in 1921. Part of The Alchemist’s Garden Luxury Collection, this captivating fragrance starts off crisp and citrusy and opens to earthy tones that will make you feel like you are lost in a secret garden.

Hermès: Twilly d’Hermès Eau Ginger

This perfume has been out for less than a month and is already an instant classic. Top notes of peony; middle notes of ginger; and a base note of cedar; this perfume is a floral woody musk perfect for those that prefer a spicy perfume. Crafted by Christine Nagel she described her choice to dial up the ginger describing her newest creation saying, “I retained the ginger’s burning heat while softening the texture to make it more floral, joyful, elegant and immediate. I drew out its delicacy and subtlety, making it more supple and giving it a succulent character with a new fullness.”
