Come July 20th, the comedic drama ‘Before I Go’ will be released to the world, and we’re rather excited about it. Starring Annabella Sciorra, the feature film is said to combine charming dark humor and a theme of self-discovery, where the main character, Samantha, processes through a relatable midlife crisis. It is written and directed by Eric Schaeffer, who is known for his inventive work in ‘Boys Meets Girl’, ‘If Lucy Fell’ and ‘Never Again’.

It is worth noting that the film is also produced by Schaeffer, along with Norm Aladjem and Ray Moheet of Mainstay Entertainment. Featuring none other than Chelsea Lee, the lead singer of indie pop band SHAED, this is definitely a film to look out for. Alongside Sciorra, who can be recognized from her roles in ‘Jungle Fever’, ‘The Hand That Rocks the Cradle’, ‘Blue Bloods and Law & Order: SVU’, it also stars comedian Robert Klein, Willie Garson, Andrea Navedo, and last but not least, Tony award-winner, Craig Bierko.

On his vision for the impact of the movie, Schaeffer shared, “My hope is that this film serves to inspire hope in those who identify with the struggles of Annabella’s character, Samantha. More than ever, feeling a part of rather than apart from is something we all need.”

‘Before I Go’ lays out the personal journey of a woman, exploring the pressures she faced in her past, gathering the courage to face her present and finding hope for the future. Her life is also portrayed from the perspective of other characters in her life, including her father, her mother and new connections she is making.

Synopsis:

“A once-successful musician living in New York faces the fact that her life might never get better and considers ending it all. In a last-ditch effort to find happiness and in her own uniquely sarcastic way, she faces her dead-end job, dating apps, her childhood, and her depression head-on to come back from the edge with a vengeance.”

“Before I Go shares a poignant message of finding and accepting one’s true self. Annabella Sciorra is a tour de force in this role, with an outstanding supporting cast she makes you laugh and cry with equal intensity. Audiences will root for her survival and will be moved by this incredible performance,” says Lise Romanoff, the managing director of Vision Films.

The film will be available on a variety of different platforms, including iTunes, Vimeo, Amazon, GooglePlay, and Vimeo, and more.
