San Carlo Opera Concert at Pyramids of Giza Nearing Sellout

The organizers of Italy’s renowned San Carlo Opera, the oldest opera in the world and one of the most significant international artistic and cultural operas, have announced that the tickets for the highly anticipated concert on October 11, 2023, are rapidly approaching full capacity and nearing the complete sellout.
The extraordinary musical event, set against the backdrop of the spectacular Pyramids of Giza, will showcase some of the world’s most celebrated opera performers, along with a repertoire of classical masterpieces that have captivated global audiences. The concert enjoys the esteemed patronage of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Egyptian Tourism Authority, The Italian Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Culture, and the Italian Embassy in Cairo.

The official website for this exclusive concert has experienced an unprecedented surge in ticket selling, drawing interest from both Egypt and numerous countries worldwide. These countries include Italy, the United States, France, England, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Tanzania, Singapore, Mexico, and Germany.

Expressing his enthusiasm for hosting such a historic event in Egypt, Amr El Kady, CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Authority, said, “We are thrilled to host this inaugural global event in Egypt while experiencing great popularity among local and international audiences. In addition, this prestigious event boasts an exceptional lineup of the world’s most renowned opera stars, including the celebrated German tenor Jonas Kaufmann, often regarded as the opera voice of the 21st century, the infamous Italian soprano, Maria Agresta, recognized as one of the top three sopranos in the world for her extraordinary vocal ability and the renowned Egyptian soprano, Fatma Said, known for her magnificent operatic voice and numerous performances on the most illustrious international opera stages.

The program of this exceptional evening also includes performances featuring masterpieces from the grand opera Arias, composed by some of the most prominent musicians in the history of opera, as well as compositions by renowned composers such as Gioachino Rossini, Vincenzo Bellini, Gaetano Donizetti, Giuseppe Verdi, and Giacomo Puccini.
