While we’re always on the lookout for what’s new in the entertainment industry, we also like to keep an eye on the movies getting reborn. Yes, we mean sequels! We concur that in the past many sequels have failed us miserably but we’re hoping these ones will take us by surprise this season.

Deadpool 2

Deadpool is back and he gets to team up with the X-Men to protect a boy with superpowers from some evil villain from the future. Sure sounds like a cliché plot but we don’t watch Deadpool for a good storyline. We watch it for the action and the R-rated humor. Some critics say this sequel actually beats the first movie. Surprise, surprise!

Incredibles 2

We’ve waited 14 years for this. It’s about time Pixar! The story continues where we left off with a new villain in town called the Underminer. This time, the roles are reversed between Mr. and Mrs. Incredible, as Elastigirl is the one out in the field fighting crime while Bob stays home to watch the kids.

Ocean’s Eight

Yes! Finally we have a female version of the Ocean’s male-dominated film series. This one will probably top them all. We’re expecting the usual heist sequences we’ve already seen in the previous films but we’re excited to see the awesome cast in action. If you don’t know who’s in the movie, there is Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, and Awkwafina.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Chris Pratt is back with Bryce Dallas Howard to rescue the remaining dinosaurs on the island from a volcanic eruption. If you’re a fan of this film series, you will probably savor every moment of this sequel.

Ant-Man and the Wasp

Yes, another Marvel sequel movie out this summer. They’re on a roll. In this one, Scott/Ant-Man is trying to balance between his superhero lifestyle and his role as a father. We also get to see him fight alongside the Wasp whose debut as a superhero is something we’re looking forward to watch.

Release date: July 4, 2018

Mama Mia! Here We Go Again

You wouldn’t think Donna had any more drama to hide or that Sophie needed to know anything more about her mother’s past, but no. There’s more. That’s how we have a second movie. We’re excited to watch all the musical numbers and we know you are to.

Release date: July 18, 2018

Mission: Impossible – Fallout

Mission Impossible is back again for the sixth time. At this rate, we don’t know if the film series will ever end, but we’re thrilled to see Henry Cavill and Angela Bassett join the cast this time. In this sequel, Ethan and his team fight to rectify the consequences of a mission gone wrong.
