Mercedes-Benz also displayed at this renowned motor show the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, the striking CLA, the new GLA compact SUV, which is as dynamic as it is efficient, GLK, the spectacular C-Class, E-Class and the flagship S400 HYBRID, in addition to fully accessorized editions of the CLA and GLA models.
The A-Class
The A-Class is a perfect reflection of the generation it is designed for, a revolutionary vehicle that represents the unique sporty character of its driver through ground-breaking design features and options. Its most distinctive feature is its sporty nature and design. The car‘s long, sporty front has a pronounced V-shape with separate headlamps and air intakes on both sides of the radiator grille. The car’s interior design was inspired by aircraft designs featuring sporty leather seating designed with integrated headrests, sporty-looking air vents, easy-to-use instrument panels and a 3-spoke, 12-function steering wheel.
The A-Class’s sporty performance matches its looks offering a new milestone in both power and agility amongst its competitors. All A-Class models come with the 7G-DCT automatic transmissions as standard.
The B-Class
The new B-Class is introduced with a redesigned front end featuring a more organic and dynamic look. The eye-catching design with the radiator trim lends the B-Class a sporty V-shape, the new design also includes a modified rear end featuring a contoured covering and a luxurious chrome trim strip. High-quality materials, stylish details, precise workmanship and spaciousness are standard in the new B-Class, which comes with a large free-standing, frameless head unit display and a stylish dial layout for the instrument cluster.
The new B-Class comes with state-of-the-art technologies for maximum efficiency and smooth power delivery. The B 180 with its 1.6 L engine generating 122hp and 200 Nm of torque has an impressive fuel consumption figure of 5.4-liters/100 km and a zero to 100-km/h sprints in 9.3 seconds. Coupled with the swift7G-DCT Automatic transmission, the B 180 combines the comfort of an automatic and the efficiency of a manual transmission.
The C-Class
The all-new C-Class impresses on every front, with an emotional yet clear design that is continued in the high quality, luxuriously designed modern interior. The C-Class feels like an “upgrade to a higher class of vehicle.” It’s striking, dynamic design exudes sensuous clarity and arouses emotions. The clearly defined surfaces and precise lines deliberately display a degree of tension, lending the C-Class a muscular character. The interior also embodies a new design idiom that perfectly combines clarity with dynamic sportiness, which contributes to the quality feel of the interior and the feel good atmosphere.
The S-Class
The S-Class shows off its exceptional status not just with regard to its technology, but also in terms of design, Luxurious and stately, powerful and exclusive, dynamic and prestigious – the S-Class is a true eye-catcher with a self-assured presence. Status and dynamism, performance and elegance, exclusivity and superiority – the S-class visually confirms it special status within the model portfolio, and also embodies “Driving Performance” with its exterior design.
the lovingly designed interior fascinates with its very high-grade materials, first-class quality and carefully chosen color schemes. All the occupants benefit from improved interior dimensions, a new control logic and new highlights in terms of ergonomics, operating convenience and safety.
The S 400 HYBRID combines great responsiveness and exemplary power delivery with outstanding efficiency and the best emission figures in this class. With its 3.5 L engine generating 306hp (plus 27hp) and 370 Nm of torque, the S 400 HYBRID sprints from zero to 100 km/h sprint in 6.8 seconds with an impressive fuel consumption figure of 6.3 liters/100 km featuring the ECO start/stop function as standard. The engine is combined with a 7G-DCT dual clutch automatic transmission, which reconciles comfort and responsiveness in inimitable fashion.
The GLK Class
The GLK models benefit from enhancements that significantly alter the driving experience and add value on the equipment level compared to the previous model. The performance of the GLK 250 is reinforced by a 2.0 liter engine pumping out 211 hp and 350Nm of torque pulling the car to 100km/h in just 7.9 seconds reaching a top speed of 215km/h. The powerful engine is driven by a 7G-TRONIC 7-speed automatic transmission. But the exceptional performance and low fuel consumption (10.6 liters / 100 km approximately) are not just down to the perfect combination of the highly sophisticated engine with the 7G-TRONIC and the friction-optimized powertrain. Further key factors include the relatively low overall weight and the exceptional aerodynamics for a vehicle of this design.
The CLA Class
The new CLA combines great responsiveness and exemplary power delivery with outstanding efficiency and the best emission figures in this class. Thanks to extensive aerodynamic optimization measures, the CLA 180 with its 1.6 L engine generating 122hp and 200 Nm of torque is the most efficient vehicle in its class with a fuel consumption figure of 5.4-liters/100 km with a zero to 100-km/h sprints in 9.2 seconds. The CLA 200 with the same displacement of 1595 cc develops 156 HP and a maximum torque of 250 Nm available from just 1250 to 4000 rpm. It sprints from zero to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and has a top speed of 230 Km/h with an economical fuel consumption of 5.4-l/100 km thanks to the Blue Efficiency technologies’ and the standard ECO start/stop function.
The GLA Class
The GLA200 is equipped with a 1.6 L engine generating 156hp and 250 Nm of torque from just 1250 RPM making for a zero to 100 km/h sprint in a quick 8.8seconds coupled with a 7G-DCT dual clutch automatic transmission, which reconciles comfort and sportiness in a unique fashion. The new GLA-Class takes the lead in its segment with respect to aerodynamic efficiency; which contributes to superior efficiency and a fuel consumption figure of just 5.9 liters/100 km.
