Billie Eilish isn’t losing much time in her current age since she’s revealed her new blonde hair. After fans spotted billboards with the name and launch date in several cities, the pop star revealed her second album, Happier Than Ever, would be out on July 30.
“This is my favorite thing I’ve ever created and I am so excited and nervous and EAGER for you to hear it,” she said in her post on Instagram. Back in February, Eilish assured Stephen Colbert that she may have made a full record during the coronavirus epidemic, which she and her brother, Finneas, had created entirely.

The lyrics uphold the intense — at occasions gleefully bleak — vibe of her Grammy-winning 2019 breakthrough comprehensive, “When We All Fall Asleep Where Do We Go?”, evident by the names of the album’s tracks and its satirical theme (she appeared in tears on the cover). Eilish revealed to Stephen Colbert in February that she was working on a new album, the product of her first extended period of not performing since her career gained momentum in 2016.
“I don’t think I would’ve made the same album, or even the album at all, if it weren’t for Covid,” she reports back to Colbert. “That doesn’t mean it’s about Covid at all, it’s just that, when things are different in your life, you’re different. That’s just how it is. So, I have to thank Covid for that, and that’s about it.”
