Flair Curates: The Autumn Playlist

18

Ah, autumn. The time of year where it’s socially acceptable to dress like an extra on Gilmore Girls and occasionally leave your house in your PJ’s. It’s that sudden, sharp shift in the air when the sun dips – the exact moment the chill cuts straight through your sleeves, the street lights flicker on over wet pavement, and the smell of woodsmoke and dying leaves hits you out of nowhere. It’s the season of cold fingers wrapped around cardboard cups, dark windows, and that heavy ache that settles in your chest the second the sky turns gray at four in the afternoon. Personally? It’s my favorite time of the year. And it definitely needs a soundtrack to accompany it. I present to you: Songs That Make You Feel Like Bella Swan In That One Scene From Twilight.

This playlist doesn’t care if you’re stuck in traffic, sitting on the edge of your bed in the dark, or walking fast just to keep your legs warm. It’s curated for the exact moment the weather turns gloomy and you just need something loud, heavy, and cold enough to match the sky.

So press play, wrap a cardigan around yourself, and let the music keep you company. I find something very warm about cold weather.
