Across the MENA region businesses are finding themselves struggling as quarantines and curfews have been established to try to decrease exposure. The fashion industry has been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic as fashion shows, galas, and events have been canceled. While many companies are tightening their belts; the Egyptian designer Mohanad Kojak is committing to philanthropy during this unprecedented time.

In a statement sent out via social media, Kojak Studio announced that they would partner with the Abbassia Fever Hospital and be donating profits to the pandemic. Via Instagram, the fashion house said, “Due to the ongoing global pandemic we at Kojak recognize our duty towards our nation and humanity. In recognizing such duty we are announcing hand in hand with @inesgohar and Abassia fever hospital that we will be donating 100% of our profit on selected best sellers on – www.kojakstudio.com – and will be donated to the Abassia Fever hospital in order to buy the needed equipment to help the medical team fight Covid-19 safely. Our ultimate goal is to also be able to buy ICU beds.”
