Azza Fahmy Jewellery Launches Nubia Inspired Collection

Drawing inspiration from Nubia, comes the latest culturally inspired 8-piece hand-crafted collection from Azza Fahmy. The collection captures the architectural aesthetic of Nubian houses as well as draws inspiration from Hassan Fathy’s old Nubia’s extensive photographic archives.

The result is a fabulous collection that depicts miniature sculptural renderings that intricately encapsulate design details such as domes and artistic wall motifs enhanced with champagne diamonds and semi-precious stones such as Turquoise and Aquamarine. Azza Fahmy, who designed the cultural 2019 Nubia collection comments: “This collection holds a very personal resonance as the theme is reminiscent of “Houses of the Nile” my very first collection which launched my design career.

For ‘Nubia’ I was creatively drawn to the structure and characteristics of Nubia houses and that of the city. The collection artistically depicts authentic architectural details and also includes a representation of lake Nasser through the use of a statement irregular Turquoise stone.
