For her latest Autumn/Winter 2018 collection, El Sheikh has raised the bar once again. Titled “Afrique Mon Amour”, the capsule collection pays homage to her adopted hometown in West Africa’s Cote d’lvore.
Being very much inspired by Abidijan, Yamoussoukro, Grand-Bassam and El Sheikh’s personal adventures, the line features three statement clutches in geometric and tribal patterns delicately and meticulously handcrafted from mother-of-pearl inlays to decorate one’s handlike precious ‘objets d’arts.’ With vibrant earthy colours, this collection showcases Dina’s meticulous eye for detail to create unique s.a.d.a.f.a minaudieres that boldy speak to contemporary tastes.
In celebration of the enduring love affair, for the campaign of her latest collection and the effortless, chic Parisian sense of style, Dina El Sheikh teamed up with Spanish photographer Diego Diaz Marin to create an editorial that exudes femininity and timeless beauty all while glowing in the city of love, Paris. Captivating and very nostalgic, the resulting photographs symbolize the brand’s fashion-forward aesthetic and ‘je ne sais quoi appeal.’
