New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027 set the tone for the new season with a striking mix of American fashion, modern tailoring, heritage dressing and contemporary luxury. Across the NYFW SS27 collections, designers including Khaite, Michael Kors, Tory Burch, Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren explored individuality through contrasting silhouettes, rich textures, nostalgic references and fresh interpretations of classic American style.
From Khaite’s romantic rock ’n’ roll edge and Michael Kors’ architectural modernism to Tory Burch’s playful femininity, Tommy Hilfiger’s updated American prep and Ralph Lauren’s timeless elegance, New York Fashion Week SS27 offered a compelling vision of Spring/Summer 2027 fashion trends.
Khaite

Inspired by Venice’s shifting light, rich textures and unexpected beauty, Catherine Holstein’s SS27 collection for Khaite brought a new dimension to the house’s signature allure. Romance met rock ’n’ roll as delicate florals, ruffles and crinoline skirts were sharpened with sculpted leather, sheer layers and lingerie-inspired silhouettes. Set to PJ Harvey at Brooklyn Navy Yard, the collection balanced softness with rebellion, sensual, undone and unmistakably Khaite.
Micheal kors

For SS27, Michael Kors looked to modernism, architecture and the eclectic energy of the city. Staged at MoMA’s Sculpture Garden, the collection moved between ’60s-inspired silhouettes, sculptural tailoring and artful stripes, with vivid notes of amber, crimson and pistachio brightening the urban wardrobe. A study in contrast, it brought together Park Avenue polish and downtown ease—proving that modern dressing can feel both timeless and full of joy.
Tory Burch

Tory Burch approached SS27 through the pleasure of dressing, where elegance meets ease and a sense of play. Against the serene setting of New York’s Isamu Noguchi Sunken Garden, hourglass knits, fluid pleats and sculptural outerwear created a distinctly modern femininity. Vivid handwoven bags and Venetian-inspired footwear added colour and character, while unexpected details kept the collection delightfully undone.
Tommy Hilfiger

A new generation of American prep took shape at Tommy Hilfiger’s SS27 show, where heritage codes were given a youthful, more relaxed attitude. Oxford shirts and rugby polos returned in unexpected proportions, alongside softened blazers, cropped chinos and layers styled with bucket hats, baseball caps, boat shoes and penny loafers. Staged at The Plaza—a deeply personal setting for the designer, the collection turned nostalgia into something fresh, effortless and distinctly New York.
Ralph lauren

Ralph Lauren’s SS27 collection celebrated the art of dressing with individuality at its centre. Romance took on a more unexpected edge, moving between intricate beading, opera gloves and feathered stoles, and more utilitarian touches such as belted coats and distressed denim. Menswear-inspired tailoring and wide neckties added a signature Lauren polish, while the contrast between old-world glamour and modern ease gave the collection a distinctly personal elegance.
