Sleek Presents: Luxury Sleep

If you have been wondering how to elevate your sleep, look no further. Egyptian brand Sleek is changing the way you get your beauty sleep—one pillowcase and scrunchie at a time. Founded in June of 2020 by Salwa Saleh, the brand is using 100% pure silk to give you the luxury sleep you didn’t know you were missing. Flair Magazine wanted to learn more about this new company and asked the founder a few of our burning questions.

Tell Flair readers what inspired you to create Sleek? 

With all the expensive and high maintenance hair and skin care routines sometimes we forget that we can do effortless things to help as well. I wanted to focus on something that can help women reduce the time and effort they put in their daily busy schedule and since we sleep an average or 6 to 8 hours a day, I was inspired to start Sleek because it was an effortless step to our skin and hair care routine. 

What are the benefits of sleeping on a silk pillow? 

Sleeping on a silk pillowcase helps reduce bedhead, hair breakage and helps with anti-aging because silk reduces the friction on the hair and skin while sleeping which consequently allows you to wake up with less bedhead, fewer sleep creases, and reduced hair breakage.

Tell us about your partnership with Areej? 

We partnered with Areej to create a box for a good night’s sleep. The box include our silk pillowcase, Areej Deep Sleep Spray and Areej Lavender cream.  We also created a hair kit that includes all hair care essentials. The kit includes a Sleek scrunchie, Areej Nourish Hydrating Hair Treatment and an Areej wooden comb.
