Selling Sunset Stars Talk Season 3

By  |

Season 3 of the hit Netflix show Selling Sunset brings more property, more drama, and an even deeper look into the lives of the Oppenheim Group ladies. Selling Sunset became an overnight success with fans binge-watching every juicy episode because it is the perfect mix of naughty and nice; blurring the lines of fantasy and reality with multimillion-dollar homes, runway outfits, and Kardashian-level drama. The overall appeal of the show is that these real estate agents are smart, funny, and fabulous, but it comes with a price—they work hard and spend every day in the sunny streets of Los Angeles matching the perfect buyers with the perfect homes. Flair Magazine was fortunate to sit down with the stars of the show, Heather Rae Young and Christine Quinn to see what they had to say about Season 3, their ever-changing lives, and fashion.

Congratulations on your recent engagement! Can fans expect a new show featuring yourself and Tarek El Moussa?

Thanks so much! We would love that but right now, I am focusing on Selling Sunset and he is focusing on his 2 shows. We are working on some projects together and we actually got to film together for Tarek’s solo show “Flipping 1o1 w/ Tarek El Moussa” and that will be out in fall on HGTV.

You Oppenheim Group ladies make real estate look easy and glamorous. What is the hardest part of the job?

It’s not all glamour, it’s a lot of stress and frustration as well. Sometimes I look at hundreds and hundreds of homes for months and months and the buyer can’t decide and then they say “actually I want to rent right now…”

What is your favorite outfit you wore during the filming of Season 3?

Definitely the red pantsuit. I felt professional yet sexy. But seeing some of my outfits and how they look on camera, I will change things up a bit if we film a season 4.

What are the hottest real-estate trends right now?

I am loving industrial modern. Adding brushed brass or rose gold hardware in kitchens and bathrooms. Also adding textures to walls, like a sexy wallpaper wall in your bedroom or primary bathroom. I love when a bedroom feels like a spa, carpet in the closet and bedroom adds a cozy touch especially when you wake up and get out of bed and you have plush carpet or a rug under you.

Congratulations on your recent nuptials! Viewers get to see all the intimate details of your wedding unfold during Season 3; what was your favorite part of your wedding journey?

It was a fun but stressful time for sure.  I think my favorite part was seeing my vision come to life the day of.  It was so satisfying to walk down the aisle to freshly fallen snow.  Do you know how difficult it was to make it snow, inside of a chapel, in downtown Los Angeles?!  I mean, props to the Kardashians and all their wintery wonderland parties, it was NOT a simple task.

What advice would you give to working ladies who are trying to balance it all?

Never stop the hustle.  Do it for yourself and no one else.  Balance is hard but when you receive that Black American Express credit card in the mail with your name on it, you won’t care how difficult it was to get to the top.

What is your favorite outfit you wore during the filming of Season 3?

So many to choose from!  I was feeling a lot of Balenciaga vibes this season.   I really loved all of my lime green ensembles. So many fans contact me daily about my wardrobe.  I have been working on something for a while.  I want great fashion to be accessible to all.  Stay tuned for something really fun…

You have been working on building your dream home. We know you are a kitchen enthusiast, but what is your second favorite room in your new home?

 My closet of course!
