Mama Rita; A Mother-Daughter Kitchen Duo

Linking arms with her mother, Rita Kahawaty, the Lebanese Australian model and humanitarian Jessica Kahawaty launched an innovative food delivery business. The concept behind it is a wholesome fusion of traditional Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and international dishes, packed with nutrients and the best ingredients.

According to Rita Kahawaty, “Mama Rita is a true expression of my love of home cooking that has been passed down through the generations of my family. My mother taught me everything I know. Mama Rita is the same food we serve to our friends and family around our own dinner table. The meals delivered to your home is a true taste of my own kitchen.”

When we asked them about their personal favorite dishes, these were their top picks.

Jessica: It’s really hard to choose my favourite dishes because I love everything my mother cooks, but lately, I’ve been eating a lot of Quinoa Salad, which is delicious with all its flavours and fruitiness, as well as the Peanut Butter Chicken and Fruit Paradise.

Rita: I love the Spinach and Beetroot Fatayer because they’re so delicious and tasty. I also love the Nouille because it reminds me of my childhood. With its white sauce and fettuccine pasta, it’s the perfect heartwarming meal. Then, I also enjoy the carrot cake a lot. It’s perfect with coffee or tea. 

Regarding their future plans, Jessica told us, “We definitely have plans to expand in the region and hopefully internationally. We have already expanded to our second kitchen located in DIFC which means faster deliveries to the surrounding areas. We will soon look into other kitchens within Dubai and the other Emirates. The demand to enter other cities is high but the key is to have steady growth and continue growing our loyal customer base.”
