The second part of the collection is the Dunes collection. It is the Kilim manifestation of the Ramleh series of sculptural works, reminiscent of the shoreline and the way the sea shapes the sand, one of the most timeless and infinite of forms. Through colour they explored imaginings of these shapes in the desert, by the lake and at the seaside. The materiality and handmade aspect of the technique lends itself to the inspiration, art reflecting life as each form of sand is entirely unique just as each loom is individual and each pair of weaving hands are distinct.
