If you haven’t heard of the beauty empire Huda Beauty, you might be living under a rock. Founded in 2013 by the award-winning makeup artist Huda Kattan, this brand has been taking the beauty industry by storm. What started out as a blog in 2010 is now a world-renowned cosmetics company that offers more than 140 exceptional products.

In recent news, Huda Beauty actually pledged AED1 million to the ‘100 Million Meals’ campaign, which was created to supply meals for disadvantaged individuals and families across thirty countries during Ramadan. This contribution will not only provide one million meals to people who really need it, it is also targeted at various regions, including the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America.

“Together, we can make a difference,” commented Huda Kattan, the woman behind it all. She hopes her decision will inspire and encourage others to donate to this important cause. “This past year has seen so much struggle around the world, so we’re honored to take part in the humbling humanitarian aid initiative, ‘100 Million Meals,’ that will be distributing food parcels to disadvantaged individuals during the blessed month of Ramadan.”

Ever since this campaign launched on April 11th, sizable donations have been pouring in from businessmen and companies. Even people who can’t afford to contribute with big sums but can only donate as little as AED10, that provides ten meals. When it comes to the nature of this campaign, every donation counts.

As for the distribution process, there is a solid network between the campaign’s organizer Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), the UN World Food Programme, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment (MBRCH), Food Banking Regional Network, and more humanitarian organizations in recipient countries, who collaborate together to provide the food parcels where they are really needed.

If you are wondering about the donation methods available, there are four ways you can go about it – through the campaign’s website 100millionmeals.ae, sending “Meal” by SMS, using their call center or a bank transfer through the Dubai Islamic Bank.
