Heart of the Sea by Omni

Egyptian handbag brand Omni are known for the beautiful and unique handbags made of exotic skins and embellished with beds and jewels. Their latest collection inspired by the sea does not disappoint. Titled The Heart of the Sea, the collection communicates a story between land and sea. The collection of underwater motifs on the handbags builds on the brand’s lavish style, showcasing bold pieces and reinvented classics while diving deep into the latest fashion trends.

The collection features various models and themes to choose from: Seashore, Tie Dye, Candy, Poca and Mermaid, all of which are exquisitely tailored to symbolize an ode to the breath-taking beauty of the sea. It also combines different shapes that cater to different characters; from mini bags, bucket bags to small totes.

The designs feature an innovative closure with elements like shells and paillette-lovingly made from authentic python. Transparent, opaque and iridescent beads and jewels in round and bungle were all handmade and stitched.  The inside of the new handbags are fully lined with an entirely natural velvet fabric; a luxurious and rich texture with a soft feel. Also, each model has been designed with the purpose of holding your day-to-day essentials whilst emanating glitz and glamour. They are playful and fun, guaranteed to put a smile on people’s faces.

It is key to note that Omni’s handbags are 100% hand-made in Egypt and hand-sewn by local artisans from their homes. Each bag takes over a week to produce, every bead, jewel and sequin is hand sewn, a very intricate and detailed process by the clever hands of these women.
