Golden Globes 2021: Best & Worst Looks

For the first time ever, the Golden Globes was largely virtual this year, as most of the stars stayed home. Co-hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, the event brought big wins for ‘Nomadland’ – Best Picture Drama – ‘Borat’ – Best Picture in Musical/Comedy – and ‘The Crown’ – Best Drama Series. Now, without further ado, here is our annual Golden Globes red carpet rundown.

Our Favorites

Margot Robbie

You will find this look all over the internet because it seems that Robbie stole the show that day. This off-the-shoulder Chanel piece is on another level – not to mention, spaghetti straps, the ruffles at the neckline and the iconic logo belt.

Gal Gadot

We admit the fit could have been better but this white minidress is easily a favorite. We love the sheer sleeves and the flowy cape style on Gadot, which she matched with a gorgeous Tiffany necklace, boasting a 48 ct emerald-cut set in 18k yellow gold among several mini diamonds.

Cynthia Erivo

A vision in neon green! The actress dropped many jaws with her Valentino Couture piece. It’s not just the color that grabs your attention; it’s also the silhouette of a puffy skirt, paired with the chic opera gloves.

Satchel Lee

Spike Lee’s daughter went for an elegant Gucci statement with her long-sleeved black gown and silver embellishments. What makes this look stand out to us most is the detailed cut-outs, for sure.

Some Misses

Awkwafina

Sorry, but we’re not big fans of this Gucci look. While definitely bold, the patterns on the gown are not very appealing and the tan tulle at the hemline doesn’t serve it any favors either.

Kyra Sedgwick

While we’re usually on board with any off-white satin-finish, we don’t appreciate the fit of this Marina Moscone piece. It would’ve been more flattering if the material was used for a simple, sleek gown rather than this two-piece.

Bryce Dallas Howard

It’s the combination of shiny sparkles and the silver-to-red ombre that killed this look for us. This Temperley ensemble couldn’t have been saved even if you removed the turtleneck. Sorry.

Jamie Lee Curtis

That was a lot of yellow – and not in a good way. While we actually like the style and thought that went into this long-sleeve dress, we think it would’ve looked much better in a darker shade, like indigo blue or crimson red.
