Presentation Sports (@Presentation) announced a strategic partnership with Twitter during a press conference in Cairo today. The partnership aims to provide the best content for football enthusiasts during the pre-World Cup friendlies, the Egyptian Premier League and the Egypt Cup, amongst upcoming football events.

As part of this partnership, @Presentation will share near-live video highlights on Twitter, in addition to behind the scenes clips and training sessions. The final training session, taking place at the Cairo International Stadium, will be fully broadcast on Twitter. @Presentation will also share Moments; which are collections of Tweets, to feature key events around the matches.

Mohamed Kamel, CEO of Presentation Sports said, “Showcasing video highlights of the pre-World Cup friendlies on Twitter will bring these moments to life and let fans experience the events in a truly immersive way. The Twitter broadcast of the final training will include a reminder button that will send notifications to our followers when the live broadcast starts, allowing them to tune in and engage right from their mobile devices.”

During the press conference, @EFA and @Presentation announced the launch of the Egypt national football team’s Twitter account under the name of @Pharoahs. The full squad; consisting of more than 25 players, has joined Twitter over the past few years; including Abdallah Said (@ElSaid), Ahmed Fathi (@AhmedFathi), Ahmed Hegazi (@Hegazi), Essam El Hadary (@ElHadary), Mahmoud Trézéguet (@Trezeguet), Mohamed El Neny (@ElNenny) and Mohamed Salah (@22mosalah).

The President of the Egypt Football Association Hany Abo Rida said, “We launched @Pharoah’s Twitter account to enable fans to connect in real time with the team ahead of, and during, the World Cup. We want fans to participate in the national team and its players’ experience with regards to the World Cup and Twitter provided the right platform for such direct interaction.”

Kinda Ibrahim, Director of Media Partnerships, Twitter, Middle East and North Africa said, “Such a partnership will allow football fans to experience the preparations of the World Cup in Egypt by tuning in to the activities that are taking place and connecting not only with one another, but with the team and its members directly, ahead of the big event.”

The final training broadcast will include opportunities for advertisers, including packages with television style pre-roll spots, combined with original and live clips produced by Presentation Sports, available for sponsorship and promotion on Twitter. The matches’ video highlights will also be available for sponsorship by allowing advertisers to distribute their content along premium videos.
