Egyptian sister designers Aya and Mounaz Abdelraouf of ‘Okhtein’ will be awarded with US $250,000. Not only that, they will also have the unique opportunity to shed light on their 2017 collections on Farfetch.com and collaborate with boutiques such as Browns (London), Curve (USA), and Al Ostoura (Kuwait). The award doesn’t end there! They will even undergo a high-level mentorship and receive an advertising campaign that will spark their collections.

Leaving the selection committee jaw dropping, the sister designers of ‘Okhtein’ pulled off both an eastern and western spirit into their luxurious bags drawing their inspiration from the streets and alleys of old Cairo and its rich architecture.

The Dubai Design and Fashion Council (DDFC) award is granted annually to the most talented and most outstanding fashion products from the Arab world.
