What is not to love about Barcelona, Spain?! You’ve got amazing art all over the city (Hello it’s Picasso’s and Gaudi’s hometown!), great beaches and the ultimate place to be for foodies and not to mention sports fans. Here is your ultimate guide to The City of Counts.

A must visit that should top your list is Antoni Gaudi’s incomplete masterpiece, The Sagrada Familia since it’s the most famous and important landmark in Barcelona. It marks an important time in the history of Spain to end the de-Christianization as well as the history of architecture and art.
Take a walk through La Ramblas, a busy historic street with both locals and tourists. It’s the most popular street in Barcelona that connects the Placa de Catalunya with the Columbus Monument and the city’s waterfront.
The Montjuic hill is a must see, where its located near the center and features many famous attractions like the Spanish Village, the Magic Mountain and the MNAC, one of Barcelona’s most important museums.

Of the cities’ many art attractions is one of the most intriguing parks designed by Antoni Gaudi. It includes a colorful main staircase and a fancy pavilion that all seems fairy tale like.
An important 19th century building is the remodeled Casa Batllo also one of many Gaudi’s masterpieces; they don’t call Barcelona the City of Gaudi for nothing! It has a unique interior as much as it’s extraordinary fantastical exterior.
Don’t focus only on the most commercial touristy places. There is much more to Barcelona like it’s underrated neighborhoods. Stroll through Gracia, a neighbourhood that is thriving with life and full of many little authentic quality shops, and has been voted the best by the city’s residents. Sarria is another more posh neighbourhood full of charm and maintains the small towns feel it once was. Poble-sec and Sant Antoni have many great top cuisine restaurants and quality entertainment.
From seafood to tapas, Barcelona has a little something for everyone. Sample tapas in one of the local tapas bars or fine dine in the numerous fine-dining restaurants. Pass by Mercat de la Boqueria which is one of the biggest food markets in Barcelona and grab a bite from the many stalls and sit somewhere outdoors and enjoy your meal. Soak up the locale taste at a must try tapas bar like the well-known La Creveseria Catalana.
If you’re feeling a bit fancy, ABaC’s is one of Barcelona’s finest is an intimate restaurant with only a capacity of 56 diners and a beautiful location.

Barcelona’s … does not end here. You still should soak the night in by enjoying a nice party in the best clubs in town. There is a differently themed party each night at the Sala Apolo and a Razzmatazz, a staple of nightlife with different DJ sessions in five different rooms. If you’re more into the indie rock scene you will enjoy Sidecar, where it has been rocking for 30 years.
From Sant Sebastia to Nova Icaria and Mar Bella, there are beaches galore weather in Barcelona itself, where you can enjoy it’s coast of four kilometers of beaches or a short train or car ride away to other close by costal towns with gorgeous beaches of the Mediterranean. You can’t leave unless you have a tan, so don’t miss visiting one of these lively shores full of Chiringuitos (traditional beach bar), so sit back and soak up the sun!
