A capsule selection of the new hand-crafted jewellery range to be launched in Maywill be styled with Matthew’s AW 15 runway collection on Sunday, 22 February 2015.

Designed by Azza Fahmy’s daughter and Head of Design, Amina Ghali, the collection is inspired by a cosmos theme that features a timeless fusion of symbolic objects of the universe treated to an ultra-modern interpretation.

Representing life, space and eternity and striking a balance between culture and design innovation the 18 piececollection of bracelets, earrings, rings and necklaces includes features such as the Key of Life translated to a covetable ring and pendant, the crescent silhouette of the moon and stars sit in celestial harmony with diamond accentswhilefiligree fine wire work create cloud shapes, and the statement Vulture’s wing adds majestic significance to the space and eternity references.

In addition to diamonds,clusters ofprecious and semi-precious stones in multi-stone combinations in rich vibrant shades of Amethyst in dark and light variations, Tanzanite, green onyx, tourmaline, rose quartz and black onyx are used to createdrama and further definition.

Metal finishes – 18ct Gold, Azza Fahmy’s trademark mixed metal combination of 18ct gold and sterling silver and, sterling silver – are formed with added dimension and in Amina’s inimitable style, the sterling silver options are given an industrial and slightly masculine treatment. This mystical collection is further enhanced with intricately fine filigree metal work and motifs/

Amina Ghali says:

“I was particularly struck by the idea of the universe and wanted to create a modern concept that combined a number of symbolic elements that brought together life and eternity. The juxtapositioning of these symbols used in the design of this collection also endorses our unique approach to balancing the past and present to create contemporary, cutting edge designs. Our inspiration and approach to this collection is similar to that of Matthew’s for AW15 and we are delighted that we are able to work with him to preview the AzzaFahmy 2015 collection.”

The complete 2015 collection is available from June 2015.
