Hussein Fahmy, President of the Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF), in collaboration with leading communications companies in the private ssector announce a special celebration to mark the 46th edition of the festival. Held on Monday, September 22, the event showcased the growing role of the private sector in supporting the arts and advancing Egypt’s cultural landscape.


The evening, organized in collaboration with CC Plus, The Global Narrative, MO4 Network, and Event House, highlighted the power of partnership between the Ministry of Culture and the private sector. It offered a strong example of how collective efforts can nurture Egypt’s creative industries and ensure their global presence.

Bringing together acclaimed filmmakers, stars of the silver screen, business leaders, and public figures, the celebration honored nearly five decades of CIFF’s legacy while setting the stage for a new chapter defined by innovation, boldness, and youthful energy. It also reaffirmed Egypt’s position as a leading cultural hub on the international stage.

Founded in 1976, CIFF is one of the oldest film festivals in the Arab world and Africa, and remains the only festival in the region accredited as a “Category A” festival by the International Federation of Film Producers’ Associations. The 46th edition will run from November 12 to 21, 2025, at the Cairo Opera House and venues across the city, introducing contemporary programs designed to restore the global brilliance of Egyptian cinema.
