A celebratory week unfolded for Azza Fahmy in London, celebrating the brand’s enduring commitment to heritage and design. From the relaunch of the London boutique to a special talk at the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the AFJ x Balmain bustier on display, the week marked a powerful expression of craft, culture, and creativity.
The Azza Fahmy London boutique reopened in a larger space with a bold new store concept that brought the brand’s design philosophy to life through a curated blend of art and craftsmanship. The space featured the new signature Bokja tapestry, a custom Randa Fahmy chandelier, brass curtains, Marmonil tiles, and the latest addition: a bespoke Kahhal x Azza Fahmy tapestry—each element telling a story of both Egyptian and regional artistry and contemporary design.
As part of the celebrations, Azza Fahmy, Fatma Ghaly, and renowned jewellery historian and longtime British Vogue editor Carol Woolton came together at the Victoria and Albert Museum for a conversation on craft, culture, and creativity. The talk explored the evolution of Azza Fahmy’s design philosophy and the power of jewellery as a medium for storytelling and cultural exchange.
Also now on view at the Young V&A is the Eye of Horus Bustier, designed by Azza Fahmy, in collaboration with Balmain, for the Resort 2023 Collection. The bustier is part of the Making Egypt exhibition, which delves into the creative legacy of ancient Egypt and its influence on global art, design, and culture today.
