Flair Magazine - Montblanc - 1The filigree engravings on the barrel and cone of the pen reflect his most famous formulas, and thenib is enriched with the engraving of the chemical element ʻEinsteiniumʼ or ʻEsʼ, a rare radioactivemetal named after Einstein to honor his achievements. The penʼs clip is bejewelled with asapphire bowl of approximately 1,3 ct, while the iconic star-shaped Montblanc emblem carved outof moonstone crowns this masterpiece with its luminous display of colors.

A numerical reference to Einsteinʼs outstanding body of work, the limitation number of AlbertEinstein Limited Edition 3000 refers to the speed of light measured at ~300.000.000 m/s. Whileplatinum-plated lines defined in the dark blue lacquer of the pen’s cap represent the space-timecurve, the platinum barrel is engraved with his most famous scientific formulas. This 750 gold nibdelivers an unparalleled writing experience. Crowning the top of the cap, the iconic Montblancemblem is covered with sapphire glass. Artisan Edition: Macbeth–directed by Max Reinhart

Flair Magazine - Montblanc - 2Montblanc has celebrated the great theatre director and co-founder of the SalzburgFestival since 2003. Each year a new writing instrument is created that artisticallyreflects the various productions at the Salzburg Festival and the life of Max Reinhardt.

Each piece is a unique work of art, a masterpiece made from the finest materials andfinished to the highest level of craftsmanship.

For the creation of this year’s special edition the designers from the Montblanc ArtisanStudios in Hamburg were inspired by William Shakespeare’s “Macbeth”, which MaxReinhardt produced on many occasions.”Double, double, toil and trouble; fire burn and cauldron bubble” – with these words

the spell is cast by the three witches who are visited by the royal commander Macbeth tohave his destiny foretold.

This scene is engraved in three-dimensional relief on the 925sterling silver cap.

The barrel is made of red jasper and symbolizes the bloodshed and sorrow caused byMacbeth.

The hand-crafted, rhodium-plated, 18 carat gold nib is engraved with the silhouette ofthe fortress of Hohensalzburg. This writing jewel is finished with

artistic chasing on the top of the cap and theMontblanc star in shimmering mother of pearl.
