When most people consider Ramadan, they just think of the fasting side, ignoring the very important spiritual element. In Islam, Ramadan is the most sacred month where people focus more on their mentality and spirituality. To commemorate this, Muslims are urged to fast throughout dawn and dusk, read the Quran from cover to cover and spend quality time in divine and consciousness.

It is the one month of the year where you will reconcile with yourself, your family, and God. Everyone in this day and age is running through their lives. Parents serve while caring for their homes and families. Children are rushed from school and homework to other sports. All are so preoccupied with their own lives that they have little time for their families. Gathering for a family meal could be postponed for days, if not weeks.
