The quest for the perfect rug is sometimes a lifelong endeavor. Rugs are a major part of home decor in the East so the new Middle-Eastern inspired collection by Jaipur Rugs might be just what you are looking for to add a little Je ne sais quoi to your home, office, or beach house.

The company’s latest collection, Concoction, took ten months to bring to life and was created in collaboration with architect and designer Shantanu Garg. Director of Jaipur Rugs, Yogesh Chaudhary, says, “The name Concoction reflects multiple layers of creative references. The collection was inspired by the graphic approach of the Bauhaus Movement and celebrates a glorious chapter of India’s architectural legacy — one where the aesthetic was a blend of Mughal, Ottoman and traditional Indian designs.” Each rug is a small work-of-art that draws from traditional influences in the region; design and architectural aesthetics of the Middle East and India. Bold colors, sharp lines, beautiful patterns, and a mix of modern and traditional images make the collection of twelve rugs irresistible.

Love the rugs but the colors don’t match your decor? One of the most incredible aspects of the Concoction collection is the online coloring tool. That’s right, customers can customize their own rug using the digital tool on Jaipur’s website. Catering to customer preference is a unique way to mix an ancient tradition with the convenience of modern technology. “In terms of the product, it’s our way of offering customized luxury to the consumer. And with Concoction in particular, it’s about allowing the consumer to forge a connection with the artisans, through technology,”  says Chaudhary.
