If you are looking for great looking locally produced bathing suits in Egypt, look no further than Pedalo Swimwear. Based in Alexandria, Pedalo was launched out of a love for the summer, beach and happy vibes. Their newest summer collection features a stylish variety of swimwear for boys and men.

The collection extends to long-sleeve linen shirts and sunglass cords, and introduces new swim short designs in unique prints and colors. When we asked co-founder Mohamed Seddik about the theme behind the collection and he said, “We wanted our SS19 Collection to be daring and creative, yet relevant at the same time. It took a lot of work but we definitely love how it turned out.”

Regarding future plans, he said, “The linen shirts and sunglass cords are our first steps toward a wider product range. There will be more products in the very near future, and a women’s line is definitely on our bucket list.”

One of Pedalo’s main visions is to help those in need by dedicating a certain amount of their proceeds to charity, and this is what their #PedaloMovement is all about. Each purchase is involved in the movement to support various initiatives that improve quality of life, health and community welfare, mainly in collaboration with the Neya Platform.

All Pedalo products are both designed and manufactured in Egypt. “We take huge pride in our country and we wanted to break the stereotype and show people that Egyptian-made products do not necessarily have to be inferior to international brands. Especially after the float (of the currency) and all the price increases, we wanted to prove that you can manufacture in Egypt, help your country, and still produce a high quality product and at a much more affordable price than other international brands specializing in swimwear,” Seddik told us.

Pedalo Swimwear is available for online shopping and at Soul Beach Shop in Ras Sedr.
