Under the patronage of Egypt’s Ministry of Culture, the She Arts Festival has announced the details of its 5th edition, set to take place from October 2 to 5, 2025. A press conference was held on July 15 at the Marriott Zamalek, with key figures from Egypt’s cultural and artistic scene in attendance.

Launched as the first international festival in the Arab region dedicated to supporting and empowering women in the arts, She Arts continues its mission of celebrating female creativity across disciplines.

This year’s edition will span Cairo, Alexandria, and the New Administrative Capital, hosting a rich program that includes concerts, film screenings, dance and theater performances, an art exhibition, a handicrafts bazaar, photography showcases, and workshops.

The opening ceremony will take place at the City of Arts in the New Administrative Capital, while the rest of the program will be hosted at The American University in Cairo – Tahrir Campus, the festival’s long-time partner venue.

The 2025 edition welcomes artists from Egypt, Brazil, Italy, Hungary, Germany, France, Palestine, Sudan, Spain, and Lebanon, with an expected audience of over 15,000 attendees.

For the first time, the opening night will feature a special performance by renowned Lebanese singer Hiba Tawaji, accompanied by musician Osama Rahbani and maestro George Kolta. The Spanish band La Maruja Limón will also perform, bringing their unique fusion of flamenco and global rhythms.

Voices from the Festival

Nevine Kenawy, Founder and Director of She Arts, highlighted the festival’s ongoing commitment to supporting women’s role in shaping the creative landscape, stating:

“Women are not just part of the art scene—they are key creators of it. Every year, the growing participation from artists across different countries reflects the need for women’s voices to be heard through art.”

Ahmed Obaid, CEO of RMC and advisor to the Minister of Culture for investment, emphasized the importance of cultural partnerships, describing She Arts as:

“A unique platform in the Arab world that deserves full support—not just as an art event but as a social and cultural movement.”

International opera singer Farrah El Dibany, also a member of the festival’s Board of Trustees, shared her enthusiasm for participating:

“She Arts is more than a festival; it’s a meaningful initiative that empowers women artists. I’m proud to contribute, both as a performer and as a member of its advisory board.”

A Platform for Women’s Stories Through Art

More than just an event, She Arts Festival continues to act as a global platform for storytelling, cultural exchange, and promoting equality through creativity, aiming for long-lasting impact in both local and international communities.
