Composer Mohamed Nawara presented the music of The Red Lily on YouTube and all singing platforms, with an Egyptian-Turkish mixture representing the conflict between memories and the warmth of the past with the speed and magic of the future.
Muhammad Nawara said that the name The Red Lily was chosen to distinguish Turkey with these flowers, and the use of various musical instruments in Turkey such as clarinets, strings, and percussion was relied upon.
The music was recorded over a whole day in Turkey, and then in Egypt, the recording was completed over 4 days using various Egyptian musical instruments such as the oud, the qanun, the guitar, the bass guitar, and the saz. Then the mastering was done in Spain.
He pointed out that the idea of the video is a struggle between the past and the future, where the modern era represents technology and the speed of events that occur in the world. The ancient era is represented in heritage and memories, separated by a large wall on which the Red Lily flower, which represents the point of contact between the two worlds.
Recently, Mohamed Nawara, in cooperation with Wael El-Fashni, succeeded in composing and writing the words for the dramatic work “Ayyam”, where “Ayam” began as a soundtrack piece, then turned into a lyrical case.
Nawara also succeeded in composing and arranging music for some music festivals, such as the soundtrack for the opening of the Art de Egypt exhibition, which is now 2021.
