How did your interest in fashion come about?
It has always been my passion for as long as I can remember since I was a young girl. I rarely wore an item of clothing without altering it in some way, adding my personalized feel. Always loved to watch fashion shows and hence I knew at that time that this was going to be what I do for a living in the future.

I see earthy greens, and a Fall orange tone, can you tell us more about the ‘Chasing Hope’ collection? And what was the inspiration behind your creations all in all?
This Fall/Winter 2021 collection is called ‘Chasing Hope’. Lately, we have been struggling immensely in Lebanon where everyone is going through the hardest of phases we had to face yet. That’s why I wanted my collection to show the world that we are a nation that hasn’t and won’t suppress or lose hope despite all the difficult circumstances that Lebanon is currently passing through. I decided to use these dreamy colors that fall between white, brown, navy, and even green that reflect hope and prosperity. This line has a wide range of versatility from dresses, blazers, and shirts to shorts, pants, and jumpsuits. Everything in my surroundings, as well as humanity itself, inspires me to build every idea I have in mind.

What kind of woman do you have in mind whilst creating the designs?
A confident woman, without a doubt. I appreciate a decisive strong-willed woman.
How do you find the ever-expanding world of fashion today? What’s trending today?
For the Winter season, Leather and velvet are in with all their cuts and shapes. Oversized wear is trendy as well for both men and women, you will see suits in the scene for this season as portrayed strongly in my collection. I think it’s the magic of ‘mix & match’ when it comes to materials and colors, especially for the working woman. Polished, practical, and elevated style.

I enjoy trends in general, but I must say that some are not meant for certain people. I feel that maybe we should select styles that flatter our figures and boost our confidence. You should dress the way you feel.

Your favorite staple piece in your wardrobe that you love?
For the Winter, I love a good fancy oversized coat. The fact that you can tone it down or turn it up with this garment whenever needed according to the event.

Tell us more about the ‘Ayach Altofoula NGO’ project in collaboration with your husband Ramy Ayach? How do you stand for it?
Ayach Al Tofoula is a non-profit educational organization that assists around two thousand children and more to count with disabilities or whose families are unable to grant them education of any sort. Ramy started this project earlier, but after we got married, I instantly felt responsible for this honorary concept. On a deeper level, this has become a commitment for both of us, and it brought us maximum delight. It’s not just a job or a daily task for us; it’s a purpose we want to achieve. We work closely with parents, households, and NGOs ceaselessly to discuss and develop academic activities to establish the school environment we seek.

If you had to switch wardrobes with another celebrity, who would it be?
I would love to have Hailey Bieber’s wardrobe; I like the elegant street style portrayed in her clothes.
Dalida Ayach is a wife, mother, and entrepreneur, have you reached the balance equation, or did you find your way through support from your family and loved ones?
It’s a daily struggle to be in this field. I live this life day by day, as it can get challenging at times to find that healthy notion of a balance. I try my best to maintain my positivity and manage my time to make it for my kids whilst keeping the projects and tasks intact. Ramy as well as family and friends provide me with the loveliest support which makes everything worthwhile and easier at the end of the day. I am utterly grateful that I get to do this.

Does your daughter ‘Ayana’ look up to you when it comes to fashion?
She loves to dress up and already has a great sense of fashion might I say. She adorns everything pink, sparkles, and heels. I can see that she also is inspired by the way I dress while having her flavorful taste in pieces. I hope this passion stays as she grows older.
What would you like to say to aspiring designers?
Always believe in yourself, surround yourself with the right people who will push you forward and help you put your vision to reality.
