In celebration of the holidays, creative director of Dior Makeup Peter Philips made sure to give a nod to the home of Dior’s couture label, as he experimented with the iconic 30 avenue Montaigne aesthetic, while sprinkling festive elements to the collection.
An exclusive highlight in the collection is the Rouge Dior minaudiere, which pays tribute to the sophistication of Dior ateliers, and again, the house’s home address at 30 Avenue Montaigne. Designed to be travel-friendly, it comes with a chain strap, a removable case and lipstick holder. You can basically carry it as a clutch if you wanted to. Among the four shades available, our favorite is Winter Poppy, a shimmery velvet red.
Another holiday favorite is the Diorific lipstick, available in four limited-edition shades and a matte/satin option. With a golden couture case, it stands out modeling a figure 8 silhouette – Christian Dior’s lucky number. If we were to recommend just one shade, it would be the timeless Rose d’Hiver. The runner-up would then be Taupe Ispahan, which is a warm brownish pink.
According to Dior, there are three makeup essentials you should carry in your bag this season:
Rouge Dior
Couture lipstick, offering floral lip care and comfortable long wear
5 Couleurs Couture
High-colour eyeshadow palette, made of longwear creamy powder
Rouge Blush
The ideal couture powder blush
