Isabel Marant’s Fall/Winter Collection

From idiosyncratic details and silhouettes to striking prints and colors, we have to say that the Isabel Marant FW 2021 collection is nothing short of a fabulous work of art. Even if you knew nothing about fashion, you would definitely find inspiration as you survey the variety of looks in this collection.

In a Vogue interview, Marant said that this time in history “is giving more time to designers to experience new ways of showing clothes and expressing different styles. More and more, I feel like there’s not one trend but different ways of approaching fashion. The more diverse it is, the more interesting it is for me.”

Drawing on the empowering culture of personal liberty in the sixties, the collection embraces electric blue vinyl fabrics and vivid multicolor floral patterns that kind of hypnotize you as if you were looking at an abstract painting. Paired with spirited Texan boots, some looks were very NYC-fashion-forward, while others flaunted a theme of oversized sportswear and complimentary bags for accessory. As described by Marant, the collection is a representation of “the 1980s in 2030 fabrics.”

Nodding to all the various special eras of the House, this new collection honors craftsmanship and cultural heritage, portrayed through embellished belts, shearling boleros, and guipure tops and dresses. Versatile in terms of vibe and personality, the looks can all be worn from day to night, and to any occasion where you’re wanting to feel eccentric.

For the visual campaign, a video was shot in the gorgeous outskirts of Paris to introduce the collection. A soundtrack by Gabber Eleganza plays in the background, offering a disgraceful fusion of folk tones and techno rhythms, a tribute to historical parties.
