It is no secret that the beloved English singer, songwriter and actress Rita Ora is always hopping from one cool thing to another. Just recently, Ora held an exclusive live performance with a breath-taking picturesque backdrop of the Eiffel Tower. In collaboration with Melrose Media, this performance is the first of a music series, called Iconic People in Iconic Places, taking place during the finale of Paris Fashion Week.
Aside from the exceptional setting, what is very special about this performance is that it marks the singer’s shift back to performing live music in front of a live audience. This time, the iconic landmark is also captured in a way that we’ve never seen before, as Ora performs from the top of the tower, while featuring custom looks – exclusively designed for her – from Fendi, Miu Miu, Lanvin and Alexandre Vauthier.
It is no wonder that Ora described the event as “a memorable performance and a real ‘pinch me’ moment for me. Performing at such a legendary venue is an honor, and to be wearing custom looks from [these brands] is simply a dream.” As for Rita’s gorgeous makeup looks, we have Lancôme to thank for that. We love how they effortlessly merged conventional themes of Parisian beauty with the singer’s unique, personal flair.
Performing her global hits ‘Anywhere’, ‘Lonely Together’ and ‘Let You Love Me’, and more songs from her latest EP ‘Bang’, Ora took her audience on a tour of some of her past milestones and present moments of her career. Did we mention that the performance was also broadcasted worldwide? It was made available on various streaming platforms, including platforms including Apple TV and Roku. Additionally, ten percent of all proceeds from this performance went towards Soccer Aid for UNICEF.
From Melrose Media, Manuel Molina commented, “We can’t think of a better way to kick-off this exciting new music series.” And Amos Rozenberg added, “We wanted to launch a new form of entertainment. A live star concert filmed in an iconic venue, broadcasted during Fashion Week. A mix between a payperview, a SVOD and VOD show, a TV sponsored concert with strong fan engagement.”
Hosted by Melrose Media, the performance was directed by Beki Mari and produced by Paramax Films and Swisskiss in association with 24/7. As for the brains behind the creative ad campaign, Interruption made it all come to life.
