Known around the globe as one of Mexico’s star actresses, Kate del Castillo has recently ventured down a new path, as she announced the launch of her very own casual clothing line. The collection, which we’re huge fans of, was created in collaboration with C’est Toi, the edgy LA-based fashion brand, specifically known for its exceptional quality when it comes to anything denim.
Just released on August 24th, the KDC x C’est Toi capsule collection features an amazing variety of lifestyle pieces, made for the woman who likes to embrace her femininity without having to discredit the value of comfort. Speaking on the creative process, Castillo said, “The idea for the line started with the desire to create a collection for women just like me. I know what I like and I don’t compromise on comfort. I need looks that can carry me from day to night during my busiest days but that can also make me feel and look great when lounging at home.”
While creating the pieces in this collection, Castillo kept in mind the contemporary state of fashion, as she even recognized the impact of the pandemic on people’s daily fashion choices. Many of us have naturally drifted away from the ‘perfect daily glam’ look to adjust to more of a stay-at-home lifestyle. With this change in mind, Castillo designed versatile pieces that were both comfortable enough to lounge around in at home and stylish enough to wear on a fun night out.
From fashion-forward jumpsuits and denim overalls to trendy jackets and loungewear, the collection is mostly made of premium fabrics of cotton and denim in order to ensure that each piece is light and comfy. Our personal favorite pieces include the Tencel Jumpsuit in white, the Casual Button Down Jacket in black and the Acid Washed Denim Jacket in orange.
Joining forces with Authentic Vision, the line will also be taking on a futuristic approach by using product authentication technology, which features a unique holographic fingerprint tag, so that you can actually verify brand authenticity with any type of smartphone via the ‘CheckIfReal’ app. Through this method, you can also get access to more product information.
