In honor of Dream Week, the Coach Foundation recently affirmed its determination to abide by their global ‘Dream It Real’ initiative, pledging to support five thousand students with scholarships by 2025. The vision is to empower the upcoming generation with valuable opportunities so they can reach their utmost potential, and this will be implemented with the help of nonprofits who are partnering with the beloved brand across the globe.

Organizations such as The Opportunity Network and Bottom Line will play a big role in the United States, for example, making the program available to minority communities to provide students 4 years of mentorship and continued scholarship. The initiative will also branch out globally with similar programs in the UK, North America, China and Japan.

Paying further tribute to this special week, it has been announced that five percent of sales in North America, which sum up to $1 million in that duration period, will be donated to the Dream It Real Fund and another five percent of sales in the UK, which sum up to $150,000, will be donated to the UK Youth charity.

Commenting on the whole ordeal, Todd Kahn, the CEO and brand president of Coach, said, “We are proud to announce our commitment to providing 5000 scholarships with our first Dream Week, a renewal of our dedication to help support the next generation as they pursue their passions and help break cycles of inequality. Realizing dreams is incredibly important to us at Coach, going back to our earliest days as a small, family-run workshop in New York City. Today, we believe in the power of dreams to not only enable each of us to become our best selves, but to help make the world a better place, dream by dream.”

Another fun fact regarding this initiative is the opportunity to customize your own Coach bags in stores with limited-edition ‘Dream It Real’ motifs. You should know the designs were created in collaboration with six artists, who listened and were inspired by the personal stories of Dream It Real students.

In collaboration with a variety of creative minds, including Andy Jackson, Danilo Parra, Sophie Green, Tom Ivin, Bilal Ali, Diego Liu and Monika Mogi, portraits and interviews with Dream It Real students will be brought to you on the brand’s social media.

What you may not know is that the ‘Dream It Real’ campaign was actually founded in 2018, and since then, the Coach Foundation has donated more than $20 million in financial and product donations. Shining more light on the role of quality education when it comes to pursuing your dreams, Coach will also be releasing a brand new episode of Coach Conversations in August focused on this subject.
