Apart from her astonishing success as a singer, songwriter, dancer, model and mom of three, Ciara has also long been recognized as a major fashion icon. The day has finally come for her to delve into the fashion world, as she launches ‘Dare to Roam’, a fabulous line of daily essential accessories and gear to make your style pop with bold, unique touches.
While introducing it, Ciara said, “I’m excited to share a cool, new project that I’ve been working on to help rebuild your confidence as we all get back out into the world. After so much time indoors, Dare to Roam is all about feeling protected as you start traveling, sending your kids off to school, and getting back into the motions of everyday life.”
The concept visualized for this line is to redefine your day to day on-the-go experience of commuting, traveling and/or campus life with very durable and ethically-sourced backpacks at affordable prices. Initially featuring three styles, ‘Dare to Roam’ presents Prodigy Adults, Prodigy Kids and a Lunchbox.
An amazing fusion of style, design and technology, each piece is made with a custom nylon material, offering antimicrobial protection, along with a water-resistant finish to fight off any potential for the accumulation of odorous, deteriorating or discolorating bacteria. The collection can, therefore, stay cleaner for much longer and endure more than your average backpack’s life. Not only does it require less washes, it offers a more sustainable option for your everyday essentials.
The ‘Dare to Roam’ line will be available beginning August 11th, with future plans to expand and offer new ranges during Fall and Winter of 2021.
Founded in partnership with Harper + Scott, ‘Dare to Roam’ linked hands with a state-of-the-art agency based in New York City with a creative division mainly focused on innovative design and production of private-brand goods. Commenting on this collaboration, Jon Alagem, President of Harper + Scott, said, “We are extremely excited to partner with Ciara as part of the launch of Harper + Scott’s new business unit focusing on partnerships to build mindful brands for celebrity talent.”
According to the CEO of the agency, Michael Scott Cohen, “Ciara had a vision for Dare To Roam, and together, we created the only accessible, EPA-registered antimicrobial backpack on the market that offers dependable, ethically made, and stylish functionality.”
Three percent of all the profits from ‘Dare to Roam’ will go to the Why Not You Foundation, a non profit which Ciara co-founded with her husband Russell Wilson to combat poverty through education and the empowerment of youth to lead with a “why not you” attitude.
