On its tenth anniversary, the Voice invited Adam Levine to the season 20 finale on Tuesday.
Levine, alongside his band, Maroon 5, performed “Beautiful Mistakes,” which happens to be their latest single and also featuring Megan Thee Stallion.
Before finding America’s most voted singer, Levine was welcomed by host Carson Daly and Blake Shelton with a pre-taped skit.
Wearing a bright pink mohawk and Hawaiian shirt, Levine expressed his gratitude for being back on the show.
Levine originally left the show after season 15 when he wasn’t represented in the finale, which created controversies among the fans and angered Levine himself. It was reasoned to change The Voice format starting from season 16 to advance the top vote-getters regardless of the team.
Other Voice coaches also appeared on the same night, such as Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg, and Kelly Clarkson’s filling in for sick Kelsea Ballerini.
In Part 1 of the finale, a night earlier, the five finalists had their last performance before the voting started. Furthermore, contestants represented their coaches, namely, Rachel Mac for Nick Jonas, Kenzie Wheeler for Kelly Clarkson, Cam Anthony and Victor Solomon for John Legend, and Jordan Matthew Young for Blake Shelton.
