Ramadan is never complete without a couple of days out to have iftar with friends or family. Plenty of restaurants offer special iftar menus as well as Ramadan’s delicious desserts. Since last year’s lockdown stood in the way of trying new food with a company, we got you a list of the best places in Cairo for a flawless iftar experience. This will save you all the hassle of searching for trustworthy restaurants instead of enjoying every second of Ramadan.

The Blue Restaurant & Grill

It is a Mediterranean, European restaurant located in Garden City. It offers a wide variety of dishes that suit all tastes including seafood, grilled cuisines and the tastiest of pastas. It even has vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, so no one will sit at the table feeling like an outcast. The Blue presents multiple fetar fixed menus for 180 LE++ and 225 LE++, which include soups, appetisers, tagines, hot side dishes, main dishes, and desserts, as well as drinks. The price differential between the two menus is determined by the amount of dishes served in each course.

Osmanly Restaurant

Osmanly restaurant, alongside The Blue Restaurant, at Kempinski Nile Hotel, provides a fixed menu of Turkish culinary for 255LE++ per individual. Soups, appetisers, and main dishes on the fixed menu rotate all day every day, and a cake banquet is included with the set list. 

Four Seasons Hotel

Four Seasons Hotel at the first residence offers you a variety of options for iftar this year. You can go for the Egyptian buffet at Zitouni restaurant for 750 EGP or the Syrian iftar at Aura restaurant for 585 EGP. In case you care more about the view, Zoé Restaurant offers a Greek iftar at a boat for either 550 EGP or 650 EFP, or you can choose to have a meal from any of the buffets, by the pool.

Grand Nile Tower

You’ll enjoy a delicious iftar watching the sunset at The Grand Nile Tower by the panoramic view of the Nile. The Nubian Village restaurant, oriental and Mediterranean with Lebanese and Egyptian dishes, would only cost you 300 EGP. At the same price, El Sakya Souk restaurant, overlooking the Nile, offers Japanese, Italian or Indian dishes. If you prefer iftar on a cruise, The Grand Nile Towers yacht, Marquise, is also available. While for dessert, Delice pastries offers all kinds of Ramadan’s oriental desserts.

Lobby Lounge

It’s an international restaurant with Asian, Egyptian, and Mediterranean options. It also includes vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. The price ranges from 157 EGP to 471 EGP. It’s located in Downtown on Corniche El-Nile.
