It took the wishing dust 17 years to reunite Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo, our favorite costars from “13 going 30”.

Mark Ruffalo, 53, tweeted a sweet selfie of them, captioned “Reconnecting with an old pal. Anyone knows where we can get Razzles in Canada?” While Jennifer Garner, 48, shared the selfie to her Instagram and wrote “Wishing dust worked! And I got a perfect day with my old pal.” Their captions were too-cute-to-handle references from the fan-favorite 2004 rom-com. They reunited on the set of the new sci-fi film which stars Ryan Reynolds, titled “The Adam Project” which is also currently shooting in Vancouver, Canada.

The two are to play parents to Ryan Reynolds who plays the role of a man that travels back in time to get help from his 13-year-old self and also find his dad, who is a genius physicist played by Ruffalo, in hopes of saving the future. Accordingly, Garner is set to play Reynolds’ mom. Catherine Keener will supposedly play the role of the villain who stole technology from Reynold’s dad (Ruffalo’s character). ‘The Adam Project’ is the first reunion between Garner and Ruffalo on-screen ever since ‘13 going on 30’.

Even though Mark seemingly never misses an anniversary for the 2004 rom-com; as he tweets in its honor and as a tribute to the movie annually, the costars’ on-screen reunion was very long-awaited; as the fans kept reminiscing about and cherishing iconic moments from ’13 going on 30’. The fans couldn’t also contain themselves when both Mark and Jennifer shared their selfie from their reunion and they speculated that it is a ’13 going on 30’ sequel, however, the real reason behind uniting on-screen was soon announced.

On that note, the world can’t wait for ‘The Adam Project’ starring Garner, Ruffalo, Ryan Reynolds, Catherine Keener, Alex Mallari Jr., Walker Scobell, and Zoe Saldana to stream on Netflix. The movie is directed by Shawn Levy, who previously worked with Reynolds on Free Guy, as well and written by Jonathan Tropper, T.S. Nowlin, Jennifer Flackett, and Mark Levin. The Netflix film is expected to be released in late 2021 or early 2022, so either way, bask in this sweet moment of Mark and Jennifer’s reunion, and most importantly, stay tuned and embrace yourself for what’s to come.
