90210 anyone? Millennials everywhere were, at some point, in love with Annie’s endearing character and spot-on 90’s fashion. In real life, Shenae Grimes-Beech is no different. Mastering the ideal preppy winter look, Shenae flaunted an oversized white jacket from Shoreditch Ski Club, paired with retro plaid pants and black chunky boots.
More than that, we loved the caption on her Instagram post and felt the need to share it with you:
Been having one of those weeks where I’ve been getting [stuff] done and feeling good. As a work-from-home mom with big goals, a long list of responsibilities and no childcare for nearly a year… that’s rare. I spend a lot of days feeling 5 steps behind, overwhelmed with whirling thoughts and to-dos, often forgetting to hit pause and enjoy the silly joys or, God forbid, give myself any credit along the way. This week I’m feeling grateful, feeling hopeful and dare I say it, even feeling proud of myself. So here I am, daring to say it because all too often we don’t. Nothing major occurred, no thrilling achievement to boast about, no incredible accolades earned. All the more reason to celebrate this feeling! Along with a gentle reminder that nothing has to be wildly exciting or particularly impressive in your life to be proud of yourself for living well… hell, even proud of yourself for merely living. You’re doing it. You’re showing up. You’re getting through it. You always do and you always will and for that you should feel immensely proud.

“We can do hard things.” Currently reading Untamed by @glennondoyle and today’s chapter shared that now infamous quote. It’s a goodie.
