If you’ve been following Mai Omar on social media, you know she’s been dropping compelling hints about her new TV series, Lu’lu’, for about a month now. More than anything, fans are excited about the fact that this is her first lead role in a TV series.
The story follows a popular singer, who grew up very poor, only to discover that she has a special voice, so her talent places her on the road to stardom. Responding to the recent feedback on the show, Omar said, “I’m happy with the reactions and viewership rates after the release of the first three episodes of the series Lu’lu’, and God willing, the audience will find upcoming episodes better and better.”
Directed by Mohamed Abdel Salam and written by Mohamed Mahran, the 45-episode series is produced by Synergy Company, and also stars Ahmed Zaher, Naglaa Badr, Nermin El Feki, Mohamed El Sharnouby, Edward, Heidy Karam, Salwa Othman, Emad Ziada and Hamdy Heikal, among others.
