Given the outburst of the Coronavirus epidemic, there’s no getting around it anymore. It’s crucial to take the right precautions, raise awareness and work on self-distancing along with your family until the current bothersome situation passes or at least till it gets under control. That doesn’t mean you abandon your day-to-day life or pin yourself to your bed, so we gathered up several things you can do at home to keep you sane as much as possible.

Get into yoga

With everything going on from dreadful news to the global contagion, it consumes a lot of one’s self. You can always retreat to some peaceful yoga lessons on YouTube since all gyms and yoga schools no longer operate in the meantime. You don’t need much other than your mobile, some solid ground and a mat and there you have it. Immerse yourself in some peaceful breathing tips to help you ease the tension around you. You can tune in with many channels giving you the perfect guidance to yoga for beginners amongst which, Yoga with Adriene, Floating Yoga School and Sarah Beth Yoga. If you haven’t tried to take a step back from the stir-crazy daily life, this is about the right time to do so and start indulging in some tranquillity instead.

Netflix & Chill

How better to distract yourself for quite some time other than to binge-watch some series and movies. Here are the top 10 trending in Egypt these days:

  • Elite
  • Toy Boy
  • Spenser Confidential
  • Money Heist
  • Boss Baby
  • Locke & Key
  • Lost Girls
  • Friends
  • Love Is Blind
  • Kick-boxer

Dive into online courses

As much as we do recommend Netflix to loosen up the tension, we don’t quite suggest marathon watching all the movies and series out there. Instead, taking some time to enlighten yourself further seems like a good idea as well. Isolated by choice or not, learning a new language or diving in your favourite field of education can be a valuable splurge on yourself. Plenty of websites are offering free courses to download in all fields, amongst are the following:

  • Coursera
  • Udemy
  • Ivy League

Take up journaling

Reflect on yourself and journal through hard times and who knows, maybe your stories will end up in history books for the future ones 100 years from now!

Grab a pen and start writing down your thoughts and what you’re going through these days. It’s hard enough to rally the motivation to do anything with what you are going through nowadays. So, taking the time to self-reflect, work on yourself and write your heart out with all life’s burdens can calm both of your mind and body down. For the greatest part, you’ll be closer to becoming more self-contained, list your priorities and long-term achievements and start adjusting your mentality accordingly.
