To celebrate International Women’s Day 2020 and Women’s History Month, the jewelry brand Pandora has launched a limited edition charm. Partnering with UNICEF, the collaboration is part of Pandora’s, “Charms for change” initiative. The limited-edition charm will support UNICEF’s work of empowerment and gender equality. In a press release, the company said, “the UNICEF We Can Do Anything charm is a call for unity. Designed with self-awareness, exploring values and building self-confidence in mind, the sterling silver design is detailed with ‘The power is in me’ and ‘We can do anything’ in tonal blue man-made crystals and cubic zirconia. Designed to fit our Pandora Moments bracelets and bangles.”
The collaboration supports the United Nations children’s branches work as they work in the most impoverished places on earth protecting the rights of disadvantaged children. In 190 countries, UNICEF programs empower those from the developing world to make healthy and positive life choices so they can become agents of change.
Pandora charms have always told a story which is why they have gained worldwide popularity. Celebrating those special life milestones is a part of the brand’s mission— these charms are no exception. The limited-edition charms have already gone on sale both in stores and online and will be sold between March 5th and April 30th, 2020. A portion of the proceeds will go directly to supporting UNICEF’s work including education, human rights awareness, civic engagement, and gender equality programs. The phrases, “The power is in me” and “We can do anything” are engraved on the sterling silver charm in blue crystals and cubic zirconia.
