It is hard to tell who did the other a favor The Academy’s stars or the one-of-a-kind luminous pieces they wore to make their fancy attire stand out. Here is our list of the most exceptional jewellery pieces that walked down the red carpet this year.
Janelle Monae in Forevermark
After her dazzling opening performance, the eight-time Grammy nominee wore a Ralph Lauren crystal-lacquered gown, offering quite a dose of shine, and then completed her look with Lace of Light diamond choker from Forevermark, featuring 26.54 carats of diamonds set in 18-karat white gold. Name a brighter look… we will wait.
Charlize Theron in Tiffany & Co.
Like a match made in heaven, Dior Haute Couture and Tiffany & Co. jewelry were definitely meant to highlight Theron’s natural charm. Dior’s simple black silk gown was crowned by a 165-stone high jewellery necklace, valued at more than $5 million.
Timothee Chalmet in Cartier
The Little Women star made a grand entrance at the Oscars 2020 in a navy zip-up blazer furnished with a blingy brooch. Resting at the chest pocket of his jacket, the vintage 1955 Cartier brooch gave life to his look, furnishing it with slight contrast and eye-catching cast of color.
Zazie Beetz in Bulgari
In case you have not noticed, Beetz was not wearing a necklace, but two. Layering jewellery smoothly sounds so easy a trick when Bulgari is the one to perform. The Joker co-star wore the Diva’s Dream necklace topped by a choker with an oval cut emerald at its center. Obviously, Beetz is a fan of layering jewelry; her Golden Globes look featured the same layering trick, too.
Salma Hayek in Boucheron
We spotted an unmistakable Greek look this year on the red carpet. The widely celebrated actress matched a white Gucci gown with a headpiece and earrings by Boucheron. The classic Greek style of the delicate olive-branch, shaped in white gold and pearls sat perfectly unique on Hayek’s dark hair, and her earrings were shaped according to the same theme, as well.
Scarlett Johansson in Forevermark
Only when we thought that she cannot outdo herself, Scarlette Johansson appeared with a look of nothing less than perfection. Draped in sparkle, her earrings from Forevermark in collaboration with Anita Ko were a piece of art, as they were made of pearl-shaped and round-cut diamonds set in white gold, while her neck remained bare. Her jewels, that night, were valued at $2.5 million.
