“It’s funny how fate works. I had no idea that the cage I was building all this time was a trap for me. And when I found myself here locked in, I thought this was the end. But that’s not how destiny works. This is just the beginning because this where I had to be, exactly where I had to be … with you. There you were with your books and your sunshine. So close and worlds away. I will figure out a way. A way to get to you. See you soon, neighbor.”

You, based on the book by Caroline Kepnes is a psychological thriller that combines the best parts of a rom-com, horror movie, and thriller. Season 2 brings the main character, Joe, to sunny Los Angeles for a fresh start. He doesn’t mean to go back to his old stalker-killer-obsessive ways but shortly after starting his new job he meets his newest victim, a woman named Love. Love is worthy of Joe’s undivided and obsessive attention and guess what? Joe hasn’t changed that much after all.

“If airplane safety videos have taught me anything, David, it’s that a mother puts her own mask on first.”

  • Season 6

This Canadian sitcom has won over the hearts of fans around the world. The wealthy Rose family has lost it all, and I mean literally everything, except for one thing, the small town of Schitt’s Creek that they bought their son as a birthday joke. Now, the posh Roses have to relocate to the small town and move into the local motel where they have to fit their wardrobes and egos into two adjoining rooms. Written by the father-son team Daniel Levy and Eugene Levy the show is laugh-out-loud funny. The inspiration for the show is just as impressive; Daniel Levy came up with the idea when watching television saying, “I had been watching some reality TV at the time and was concentrating on what would happen if one of these wealthy families would lose everything. Would the Kardashians still be the Kardashians without their money?”

“First and foremost, Shahs of Sunset has been such an asset in my life. Some people would find that hard to believe because it’s a reality show and people act silly and there’s not much substance. But for me, I’ve had to face a lot of issues in my life head-on. I dealt with my relationship with my father, my grandmother. I’ve grown so much, and I feel like I’ve helped a lot of people by just being on a reality show because in our culture, being gay, there’s such a stigma. I get so many messages from people around the world saying that I’ve impacted them to feel like they could potentially have a future being out and living an authentic life. I’m really grateful.”

The Shahs are back! Going into its eighth season this show is a mixture of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” and “Jersey Shore” but with an all-Persian cast. The gossip, gold, glamour, and ghormeh sabzi are bigger and better each season and it looks like season 8 will be one of the best yet. Shahs of Sunset is a reality show that follows Persian-Americans as they live and love in Tehrangeles, aka Little Persia. The crew is back when the new season premieres Sunday, February 9th!

“Wild Nights—Wild Nights!
Were I with thee
Wild Nights should be
Our luxury!

We are the only poets, and everyone else is prose.”

A show based on the American poet Emily Dickinson’s life—snooze! This show has somehow taken a historical period where people lived without running water and made it look like a Gatsby party. Modernizing the language of the time period, Dickinson is a refreshing show with youthful themes of fame, popularity, vanity, and sex mixed in with slavery, Tuberculosis, and the American Revolutionary war. The show is an indulgence and the cast, music, costumes, and perfectly quoted lines of poetry make it worth the watch.

“If there were an answer I could give you to how the universe works, it wouldn’t be special. It would just be machinery fulfilling its cosmic design. It would just be a big, dumb food processor. But since nothing seems to make sense, when you find something or someone that does, it’s euphoria.”

It is the popular shows fourth and final season…so if you haven’t been watching take this moment to stop everything and binge! Loyal fans are sad to see the show go star Kristen Bell told the media that, “It’s an incredibly worthy ending. We were all disappointed that the show would be over, but it did feel like the right thing to do. I don’t know that the show will ever come back ever, because the ending is satisfying. It’s a variety of things. It’s also a punch to the gut, but it is satisfying and it feels like that’s where the story ends.” If you have watched previous seasons and are looking forward to sitting down with a bowl of popcorn to binge this final season—do not check social media as there are spoilers everywhere, don’t say we didn’t warn you!
