Athleisure is arguably the greatest trend. Mixing fashion with streetwear using exercise or lounge materials is a great way to look amazing while keeping comfortable. The superstar Beyoncé’s is going to be treating everyone to more athleisure in 2020 as her brand, Ivy Park will drop a collaboration with Adidas on January 18th. For those that don’t remember the brand was initially launched in 2016 with the Topshop billionaire Philip Green. Since then, Queen Bey has bought back her shares and is now the sole owner of the company she co-founded.

“Personal style and expands that to include something for everyone. I love experimenting with fashion, mixing high and low, sportswear with couture, even masculine and feminine.”

This is not Beyoncé’s first collaboration with Adidas. The very first Adidas X Ivy Park collection included many streetwear trends like jumpsuits, bodysuits, hoodies, chunky sneakers, and harness bags. This 2020 collaboration will be a relaunch of Ivy Park and the start of a multiyear partnership between the two brands. With 135 million Instagram followers, a Beyhive of seriously (seriously) devoted fans, and a famous husband with street cred the partnership will likely give Adidas the push they need to appeal to more female shoppers. Ironically, the collaboration will be gender-neutral in tone. In an interview with Elle Magazine, the entrepreneur said that fans can expect pieces for both men and women. “This new line is fun and lends itself to creativity, the ultimate power,” she said. “I focused on designing a unisex collection of footwear and apparel because I saw so many men in Ivy Park. The way they have embraced the brand is an unexpected gift. I appreciate the beauty of gender-neutral clothing and breaking the so-called fashion rules.”

“My mother instilled in me the idea that creativity starts with taking a leap of faith — telling your fears they are not allowed where you are headed.”
